Biography

Pekka Langer (1919–1996), born Ture Per-Olof Langer, was a Swedish journalist, author, and radio and television presenter. He began his career as a journalist and later moved into radio, where he became one of Sweden's most popular entertainers during the 1950s and 1960s.

Langer hosted and appeared in many popular programs, including Natttuppen, När då, då?, Bit för bit, and Notknäckarna. He was also a presenter of Svensktoppen and Sommartoppen. In addition to his work in radio and television, he wrote columns and books.

In 1965, he starred in the Sveriges Radio and Sveriges Television Advent calendar series Farbror Pekkas handelsbod, where he portrayed a fictionalized version of himself. He continued working in radio and television for several decades and became a well-known figure in Swedish entertainment.
