Privacy Policy

1. Overview

Vidbox has no accounts, no sign-up and no login, so there is no profile, password or personal registration data to collect in the first place. There is no advertising and no analytics or tracking script running on the site.

2. Information We Don’t Collect

Vidbox does not ask for, and does not collect, your name, email address, payment information or any other personal identifier. There is nothing to fill in and nothing tied to you as an individual.

3. Information Stored On Your Device

The only thing Vidbox remembers is a single, non-personal preference - which playback source you last chose on a title - kept using your browser’s localStorage. It stays on your device, is never transmitted to any server, and is cleared whenever you clear your browser’s site data.

4. Server and Hosting Logs

Like any website, Vidbox’s hosting infrastructure may automatically record standard technical request information (such as IP address, browser type and request timestamp) for security and reliability purposes. This is routine web-server operation, not user tracking, and Vidbox does not use it for advertising or to build a profile of you.

5. Cookies

Vidbox itself does not set cookies. Official trailers are embedded from YouTube’s privacy-enhanced (“no-cookie”) domain. If a third-party embedded player is ever used for playback, that third party may set its own cookies or use its own technologies under its own policy, independently of Vidbox and outside our control.

6. Third-Party Services

Vidbox’s catalog and playback features rely on a small number of third-party services:

• A catalog data provider, for titles, cast, artwork and ratings;
• A streaming-availability data provider, for “where to watch” information;
• YouTube, for embedded official trailers.

Each operates under its own privacy policy, which Vidbox does not control. Attribution for these providers appears in the footer of every page.

7. No Advertising or Tracking

Vidbox runs no advertising network, no analytics platform and no tracking pixel. Nothing on the site is designed to follow you across other sites.

8. Children’s Privacy

Vidbox is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children - consistent with §1, it does not collect personal information from any visitor at all.

9. Your Choices

Because the only data Vidbox stores lives in your own browser, you are always in control of it: clearing your browser’s site data for Vidbox removes it completely, and browser settings let you block localStorage outright if you prefer.

This policy may be updated as the site changes. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision.
