Synopsis
Stand by Your Man is an American sitcom that aired on Fox from April 5, 1992, until May 17, 1992. The series was created by Nancy Steen and Neil Thompson, who also wrote some of the episodes. It is notable for being Melissa Gilbert's return to series television after the conclusion of Little House on the Prairie nine years earlier, and the first lead sitcom role for Rosie O'Donnell, who was then on the verge of breaking into major fame. The series was created as an American adaptation of the popular British sitcom Birds of a Feather, which was still in production at the time.

- 1. For Better or WorseNow viewing1992-04-05Happily married Rochelle Dunphy is devastated when her husband is caught robbing a bank and sentenced to prison along with her sister Lorraine's husband Artie. Lorraine however thinks the sentence of 8 years is not long enough.

- 3. Labor Pains1992-04-19Lorraine gets fired at the Bargain Circus, after refusing to let her seedy manager, Elroy feel her up. Rochelle hosts a meeting of the ""Prison Wives."" Lorraine refuses to work and when the situation is brought up at the meeting; Rochelle is forced for the first time in her life to find a job. Meanwhile, Adrienne's husband Stewart, sues on behalf of Lorraine, but by the time she gets her job back, she has a new boss... Rochelle.
- 4. Spare Me1992-04-26Rochelle begins her tenure as Lorraine's boss at the Bargain Circus, yet her fancy car gets stolen from the parking lot. Upon further investigation it is discovered that, it was not stolen, but was repossessed. The girls must now rely on Lorraine's Harley. When the girls visit their husbands at the prison, Artie is attempting therapy. When he hears the car was stolen, he ditches the therapy and admits to stashing $5,000 in the spare tire. The girls then feverishly attempt to find the owner of the car, who turns out to be Adrienne. When they recapture the money they face a moral dilemma as to whether or not to return it.
