Synopsis

An orphan endures a harsh life in a workhouse before fleeing to London, where he falls in with a gang of juvenile pickpockets led by the criminal Fagin, and eventually finds a better life, exposing the cruelties of poverty and child labor in Victorian England.

Monks is present and recognises the name Maylie; he travels to find Oliver with unexpected results.

Oliver returns to the workhouse under the safeguard of the Maylies and Mr. Brownlow, where the true identity and agenda of Monks are exposed, the Bumbles are held to account, and the true identities of both Oliver and Rose are revealed. And after Monks' attempt to destroy all trace of Oliver's true identity, will Fagin finally come good?
