Synopsis
The love story between Dr. Amalia Levy, a renowned breast cancer surgeon, and her patient, Micah Hadad, a promising young politician, starts when the two of them discover, on the very same day, that they have cancer. Breast cancer. So, this isn't quite love at first sight but more love at first lump. As they each grapple with the aftermath of the diagnosis and treatment, and its impact on their professional lives and family dynamics, they find solace in their shared poignant moments, and realize that the worst thing that ever happened to them is also the best thing to happen to them.

Micah is shocked to hear that he has breast cancer, Amalia's aloof delivery doesn't help soften the blow, and decided to keep it a secret from his family and colleagues. Amalia tries to weigh her own options with her usual stern composure, but things spiral out of control as everyone in her close-knit family has an opinion on the matter. Meanwhile, in a last-ditch attempt to salvage her failing stand-up comedy career, Amalia's sister Adi appropriates Amalia's ordeal and appears on stage pretending to have just received a cancer diagnosis.

Despite being a surgeon accustomed to making life-or-death decisions for others, Amalia struggles with her own treatment, repeatedly rescheduling her operation. Finally, her family confronts her, with her ex-husband Amir providing the clearest perspective, nudging her towards a decision that would not only impact her life but the lives of those she holds dear.

Micah's attempt to keep things business as usual is derailed when he finds out his deputy is undermining his authority, while his daughter wants to cut short her South American trip and return home. In the hospital, Amalia and Micah find themselves alone in the chemotherapy room, and their relationship takes a personal turn.

Complicating matters, they also have Ella's pregnancy to deal with, as their daughter moves in with Adi and has decided against an abortion. In a heated family argument, Amalia lashes out at Ella and Adi. Later that night, Ella finds out Adi's shocking secret.
