Synopsis

El vuelo del águila is a Mexican historical telenovela produced by Ernesto Alonso and Carlos Sotomayor for Televisa and originally broadcast on Canal de las Estrellas from July 4, 1994, to January 20, 1995. Created by Enrique Krauze and Fausto Zerón-Medina, the telenovela chronicles the life of General and President Porfirio Díaz, depicting the political, military, and social events that shaped Mexico during the Porfiriato. The story follows Porfirio Díaz from his early years as a military hero during the Reform War and the French Intervention to his rise to the presidency and his more than three decades in power.
