Synopsis
According to Bex is a British sitcom that aired on BBC One in 2005. Starring Jessica Stevenson, it was written by Katie Douglas, Julia Barron and Fred Barron, who also created My Family and After You've Gone. The American sitcom Courting Alex, starring Jenna Elfman, was originally based on According to Bex.

Things don't get much better at work when her boss, Charles, insists she find some prosthetic testicles for his newly neutered dog - just another task in a day's work for Bex. Finding herself suddenly single, Bex reluctantly agrees to go speed dating with her colleague Chris. Just as she's about to leave the flat, her dad Jack turns up unannounced to stay the night. Left alone, he overhears a strange answerphone message, and decides his daughter needs rescuing from the speed dating.

However, Fiona is not what Bex bargained for and things take a turn for the worse. In the office, Jan tries sucking up to Chris to get a pay rise, only to be annoyed by her suggestion to eat less and sell her hair.
