Synopsis

I Wanna Be a Soap Star is a reality television series which debuted on the cable channel SOAPnet in 2004. The show is hosted by All My Children star and ex-Dancing with the Stars participant, Cameron Mathison. It is based on the British reality series Soapstars.

1. Episode 1Now viewing2004-10-161hCameron Mathison of of All My Children introduces us to 12 contestants who feel they've got what it takes to be on a soap opera. The contestants are shown three existing sets from General Hospital, which they will use to do various scenes.
2. Episode 22004-10-231hThe six remaining contestants learn how to do a love scene. The contestants also learn about blocking so they can remember where they need to stand while the camera is shooting their scene. They also get a little coaching from two General Hospital stars on how a love scene is done.
3. Episode 32004-10-301hThe contestants have a photo shoot and seemed to enjoy it. The photographer of comments on each of their looks and which contestant might have the most talent.
4. Epsiode 42004-11-061hThe contestants learn how to do a flight scene and a stage slap. One of the contestants ends up getting a broken nose!
5. Episode 52004-11-131hThe two remaining contestants are having dinner on set when they are given a surprise the judge's have brought back one of the original 12 contestants back from the dead. The two remaining contestants are shocked when they find out who it is. There are then told they will be staying and have a night on the town but the next day someone will be killed off.
6. Episode 62004-11-201hMykel won a contract role on General Hospital for 13 weeks.
